What We Believe
This is what we are into at Zombie Church. Honestly we do things a little
differently, but here is the foundation of who we are. We will hold true to our beliefs
even if our services may look a little different. We are into God!
We believe that God is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign Creator of all things.
The loving Father of the Trinity.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human, that
He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement for our sins by
His death on the Cross, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended to the right hand of
the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us. If you believe these things, then
we can have fellowship even though way may not agree on every form of doctrine.
We believe after Jesus ascended to Heaven, Jesus sent us a helper. Thankfully He did
not leave us alone. He poured out His Holy Spirit so that we can be witnesses for Him
on this earth.
We believe that God is eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy
The Word of God : The Bible
This is God’s love letter to mankind. We dive into the Word of God because we believe
in the inerrancy of the Bible. The Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible
Word of God and relevant in today’s culture.
Sin & Salvation
We believe that all people are, by nature, separated from God and are responsible for
their own sin, we call being in this state a zombie, but that salvation, redemption, and
forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a
person repents of sin and believes in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting
Him to save, that person is immediately born again or awoken from the dead and sealed
by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven. That person becomes a child of God,
destined to spend eternity with the Lord.
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Scriptures, and that they are
valid for today if they are exercised within the Scriptural guidelines. We as believers are
to covet the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love that the whole Body of Christ
might be edified. We believe that love is more important than the most spectacular gifts,
and without this love all exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless.
We believe that fellowship is essential to the spiritual health of every believer.
Outreach should be a natural outgrowth of a healthy church. We love to share with
others what we are excited about. The more we get excited about Jesus, the more
naturally we will share.
Nothing of everlasting significance can be accomplished within the church apart from
prayer. E.M. Bounds once said: “What the Church needs today is not more machinery
or better, not new organizations or more novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost
can use–men of prayer, men mighty in prayer.” I would like to add women and children
to his statement.
Worship is the outward experience of our relationship with the Lord. Worship, at
Zombie Church is a “life style,” not just something we do during the message on
